RyanTodd is a classically-trained pianist, composer, vocalist, comedian, and actor born and raised in Saskatoon, SK, and currently residing in Toronto, ON. With the voice of someone who did high school theatre, and the guitar abilities of a lifelong pianist, he is sure to entertain with his music.

Throughout his journey as a musician, he has achieved his Level 10 certification with the RCM in Piano, as well as a Bachelor of Music Degree with MacEwan University, in which he majored in Composition. He has studied piano under Martin Janovsky, Chris Andrew, and Mboya Nicholson, and has studied composition under Emilie LeBel, Kent Sangster, Allan Gilliland, and John McMillan.

RyanTodd has immense performance experience in piano, having performed in numerous festivals, recitals, and countless other opportunities. He performs in a wide range of styles, including ragtime, classical, jazz, pop, R+B, theatre, and many more. Aside from piano, he can also play harmonica, brass, guitar, and voice. 

As a singer/songwriter, RyanTodd has created a unique brand of comedy music. From stories about his pet praying mantis, to the stresses of the internet diagnosing you with diseases, his music invites an environment of laughter for the audience.

As a composer, he focuses much attention on writing for musical theatre. His first show, a one-act song cycle "What I Want" was premiered at MacEwan University in December of 2022. He most recently put on a one-man musical at the Edmonton Fringe Festival titled "That's Showbiz Baby!"

As a solo recording artist, RyanTodd just released the single "According to WebMD" which features both an acoustic and original version. He also has  many instrumental piano releases, under the name Ryan Todd Johnson, including his debut album "Touching the Clouds" which features an array of his favourite classical pieces. His Christmas EP "Christmas Wishes", features original jazz and contemporary arrangements of traditional Christmas and holiday tunes. 

RyanTodd loves to spread the joy of music, as he also works as a piano and music teacher, bringing up a new generation of music lovers.
